T. McMahan, MD, FACS
After
completing his undergraduate studies at the University
of South Carolina, Dr. McMahan received his degree from
the Medical University of South Carolina. Following
medical school, he attended Northwestern University
in Chicago where he completed a surgical residency in
Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery and a fellowship
in Head and Neck Oncology. Dr. McMahan is a board-certified
Otolaryngologist and Fellow of the American College
of Surgeons who has practiced medicine for more than
20 years. Since 1992, Dr. McMahan has been in private
practice at Northwestern Nasal + Sinus.
Dr. McMahan is an Assistant Professor
in the Department of Otolaryngology–Head and Neck
Surgery at Northwestern University Medical School. He
has served as a Course Director of Advanced Landmark
Based Sinonasal Surgery, and on the faculty of international
symposiums on sinus surgery and allergies. Since 1997,
Dr. McMahan has served on the Board of Directors of
the American In-Vitro Allergy and Immunology Society.
His research has focused on the treatment
of allergic diseases of the nose and sinuses, including
the identification and treatment of bacterial and fungal
sinusitis.
